2 Year Old Dead After Being Left In Car At VA Center

SALISBURY, NC– A two year old girl is dead  after police say she was left in a vehicle parked behind the VA Medical Center in Salisbury.

Salisbury police were called to the scene around 4:30 this afternoon after a worker at the center saw the child in the car and called for help.

Police broke into the black Chevy sedan, unstrapped the girl from her car seat, and tried to revive her, but it was too late.

The girl’s mother works at the VA Center.

An investigation is underway.
