A Drone Operator Helps Save A NC Flood Victim After Hurricane Matthew
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NC — Social media may have saved a North Carolina man’s life after Hurricane Matthew flooded his Cumberland County home.
While looking at the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew on his Twitter feed, a Texas man came across images of his brother’s flooded home in Cumberland County. When he called 911 the dispatcher told him that a rescue would take some time.
Desperate to help, the Texas man tweeted the drone operator who had posted the pictures and told him the situation.
