McCrory: 19 Fatalities In North Carolina Due To Hurricane Matthew

RALEIGH, N.C. — Gov. Pat McCrory provided another update on the major flooding situation that is going on in North Carolina following Hurricane Matthew.
A total of 19 people have died from this storm. McCrory said most of these deaths are due to people drowning. He pleaded during his news conference for people to stay away from flooded areas and to follow evacuation orders.
More than 3,800 people are currently staying in shelters due to flooding. There are still more than 200,000 power outages in the state.
