Gov. McCroy: Sadly, Two More People Have Died As A Result Of Hurricane Matthew
RALEIGH, NC — In a 4pm news conference Governor Pat McCrory said that the total number of deaths in NC resulting from Hurricane Matthew has risen to 22.
McCrory said two more deaths were reported today in two counties, Lenoir and Robeson, flooded by Matthew. The Governor said there may also be a third death, but it is still under investigation.
Governor McCrory gave updates on ongoing recovery efforts and showed footage from a flyover tour taken to survey the damage and floodwaters. He urged residents from all across the state to donate any way they can to assist in recovery efforts for those impacted most by Hurricane Matthew by visiting NCdisasterrelief.org or texting NCRecovers to 30306.
