Town Hall Meetings Held Over CMS Student Assignment
CHARLOTTE, NC — Monday night parents attended the first round of town hall meetings on the new CMS student assignment plan.
The district held two meetings tonight.
One at South Mecklenburg High School, the other at North Mecklenburg.
Parents asked questions about the plan to open up more seats in magnet schools for students from consistently low-performing campuses.
Meetings will be held at East and West Mecklenburg High School’s on November 7th. School board members will vote on the magnet plan two days later.
