Gastonia PD Needs Help Identifying An Armed Robbery Suspect

GASTONIA, NC — Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Tuesday morning at the Kangaroo Express on N. Chester Street.

According to officials, the robbery happened around 10:23am. A suspect went into the store, pulled out a gun, and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 5’9″ and 5’11”, 25-35 years of age, wearing a dark color hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and sunglasses. Officials say the suspect was also seen leaving in a silver SUV with Maryland license plates 4CK7030.
