Three Are Dead After Two Cars Collided Sunday Morning In Chester

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. – Three men were killed after two cars collided at approximately 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says one vehicle was traveling northbound on Saluda Road and a van was traveling southbound on Saluda Road.

SCHP says that the driver of the van heading southbound lost control and ran onto the northbound lanes striking the other vehicle head-on.

The Chester County Coroner confirmed with WCCB that both the driver and the passenger of the 1996 Dodge Pickup Truck died.

The driver of the Dodge Pickup is identified as 76-year-old Willie James Perry of Rock Hill.  The passenger was 53-year-old Rock Hill resident SirLawrence Darby.

According to the Chester County Coroner, the passenger of the Ford Van died and is identified as Chester resident 46-year-old Anthony “Tony” Roof.

The driver of the van was flown to CMC via helicopter. Their condition is unknown at this time.
