CHARLOTTE, NC – Police are searching for a driver who plowed into six people then took off.
Two of those hit and injured are toddlers.
It happened in a neighborhood off The Plaza in East Charlotte Sunday night.
Victim Christopher Sanders is out of the hospital but is still in pain.
A bone is chipped in his right leg.
He says he was talking with a neighbor when it happened on Dinglewood Avenue around 8:00 Sunday night.
“By the time I could see the car it had already done hit the car, hit me, and then I see the babies way across the street,” Sanders explains.
He says the two toddlers, a twin brother and sister were in their stroller when they were hit.
Sanders says they were knocked all the way to a trash can several feet down the road.
Witnesses tell police the vehicle may have been silver, but it was hard to tell because it was already dark outside.
