Vigil Held for 3-Year-Old Murdered in Shelby Robbery

SHELBY, NC – Family members are looking for healing as they mourn the loss of a three-year-old killed in a Shelby robbery.

Police charged three suspects in the shooting that killed the toddler, a woman, and injured a man in the home.

“He was the light of my life. He was the light of all of our lives, really. And this is such as nightmare that this family is going through,” explains Liam Murray’s grandmother Hope.

Murray and family friend Miranda Woods were killed during a robbery at the home on Whisnant Street early Thursday morning.

Jerroid Shippy, reportedly the intended target was shot repeatedly and is recovering in the hospital.
