CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating a homicide that occurred on Independence Boulevard inbound prior to the Briar Creek exit.
Officials say 43-year-oldΒ Everette Thomas Lynn was found shot inside aΒ vehicle approximately aroundΒ 3:47 a.m. Saturday morning.
LynnΒ was pronounced dead on the scene by Medic.
Officers responded to an accident call for serviceΒ in the 2600 block of Independence Boulevard.Β Officials sayΒ they located that the vehicle struck the median.
Detectives with the Homicide Unit are canvassing the area to determine whether there are any witnesses to this incident.
