High Angle Rescue In Uptown After Worker Suffers Cardiac Emergency

CHARLOTTE, NC — Rescuers performed a high angle rescue Monday afternoon after a worker at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center suffered a cardiac emergency, according to officials.

Medic reported the patient as being on scaffolding 85 feet off the ground at 130 N. Tryon Street. Crews from Charlotte Fire and Medic worked quickly to get the patient to the ground where crews administered CPR until the patient could be transported to CMC.

According to Medic, the patient was suffering from a life threatening condition when they were transported.

There is no further word on the patient’s condition.
