Senator Richard Burr Projected To Win Re-Election
CHARLOTTE, NC — Incumbent U.S. Senator Richard Burr (R) is now projected to beat Democratic challenger Deborah Ross.
Voting numbers show Burr winning 51.77% over Ross’s 44.64% after a brutal campaign for the United States Senate seat for North Carolina.
Senior Senator Richard Burr has held the U.S. Senate seat for NC since 2005. Prior to winning the senate seat, Burr worked in the private sector for 17 years at Carswell Distributing and then served in the U.S. House of Representatives for the 5th Congressional District of NC from 1995-2005.
Burr also currently serves as Chairman of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
