Plea Deal Offered In Maggie Daniels Murder Trial
CHARLOTTE, NC– A plea deal tonight in a high-profile local murder case.
The man charged with the killing a Newton High School counselor will not face the death penalty if he’s convicted. The Catawba County District Attorney offered the plea deal today to Sharman Odom.
He faces first degree kidnapping, rape and murder charges.
Odom lived next door to Maggie Daniels and is accused of raping, sodomizing and strangling her in June of 2014.
Odom has pleaded not guilty.
