Woman Arrested For Killing Boyfriend After Argument In East Charlotte

UPDATE:Β Police say Rece King, 21, shot and killed her boyfriend Christopher Watson Jr. during an argument.

UPDATE: CMPD now says that the male victim has died in the Fairmarket Place shooting, and it is now being investigated as a homicide.
Neighbors say the shooting was the result of an argument between a man and woman.

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is investigating after a man was shot on Fairmarket Place just off The Plaza.
Officials say the shooting happened Wednesday afternoon at the Fairmarket Square Apartments. No word on a suspect at this time or what may have led to the shooting.
The victim has been transported with life-threatening injuries.
