FBI: TSA Officer, Seven Others Arrested For Drug Trafficking Operation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Federal investigators say a TSA agent and seven other people were arrested on November 9th for their involvement in a drug trafficking network operating in Charlotte and Greensboro.

The eight defendants are accused of operating a drug conspiracy responsible for trafficking cocaine, marijuana and other controlled substances.  The criminal complaint alleges that TSA officer Jamie Blunder, 48, of Charlotte was the leader of the conspiracy and used several other people to transport and distribute narcotics to and from Greensboro and elsewhere.

Officials say Blunder did not utilize the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport to traffic narcotics but they believe he may have relied on his TSA position to avoid law enforcement detection while traveling to several locations in North Carolina.

In addition to the arrests, FBI agents recovered eight firearms, at least two kilograms of cocaine and more than $150,000 in cash.  The following people are facing charges related to this case:

Jamie Blunder, 48, of Charlotte

David Pate, 44, of High Point

Alafia Fowlkes, 42, of Jamestown

Samuel Little, 58, of Greensboro

Irvin Lampley, 56, of Greensboro

Aaron Dixon, 40, of Greenville

Cameron Roberts, 29, of Greensboro

Dennis Harrington, 47, of Greensboro
