Local McDonald’s Locations Are Taking Donations To Support To Firefighters Battling NC Wildfires

WCCB CHARLOTTE — As wildfires continue to burn in the western portion of North Carolina, McDonald’s locations in several local communities will begin taking donations to help crews battling the flames.

In a release sent out Friday, McDonald’s locations in Hickory, Morganton, Valdese, Icard, Banner Elk, Newland, Conover, Lenoir and Granite Falls will begin taking donation items on November 19th.

Items that are being requested include energy bars, beef jerky, bandanas, socks (size medium), work boot socks (size large), travel size hand wipes and lotion, travel size Gold Bond foot powder, lip balm, wool caps/hats, 16 oz. Gatorade, work gloves and saline drops.

You can drop off any of these items at any of the above locations between November 19th and November 30th.
