Charlotte Man Arrested For Robbing Pineville Dunkin Donuts

PINEVILLE, N.C. — Police say a Charlotte man has been arrested for robbing a Dunkin Donuts in Pineville.

Investigators say the robbery happened just after 8:30am Tuesday morning on Pineville-Matthews Road.

Police say Matthew Summerville entered the business wearing a ski mask and displaying a handgun.  Summerville is accused of demanding money from the cash register.

Summerville’s vehicle was stopped a short distance from the crime scene and he was taken into custody, according to a news release.

He has been charged with armed robbery and resist, obstruct and delay of police officers.  No one was injured during the arrest and all the stolen money was recovered, as well as the handgun and ski mask used during the robbery, according to police.
