CMPD: Suspect Arrested For November Shooting Of 5-Year-Old Girl
UPDATE: Police say they have arrested the man who shot a 5-year-old near Uptown on November 10th.
According to officials, 27-year-old Patrick Glenn was arrested on Augusta Street Tuesday and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, 4 counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Vehicle in Operation Causing Serious Injury, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

PREVIOUS UPDATE: Police have identified the suspect accused of shooting a 5-year-old in Uptown. Patrick Glenn has outstanding warrants for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, four counts of assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling causing serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Glenn was last seen in a newer model silver Nissan Sentra. Glenn is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are investigating after a 5-year-old was shot inside a vehicle in north Charlotte.
The shooting happened on North College Street. Police say the child was inside a vehicle with three adults and one other child traveling on 12th Street at North College Street when a vehicle pulled up next to them and someone fired multiple shots into the vehicle. The driver in the vehicle with the child drove to a nearby 7-Eleven and called for help.
Officials say the child has been taken to CMC with life-threatening injuries.
Our crew at the scene says there is a heavy police presence in the area, and there investigation is currently centered around a car that is parked in the parking lot. Police have the back door and trunk open, and crime tape has been put up around the entire station.
Preliminary information indicates that one of the adult males in the victim vehicle and the suspect are known to one another. The suspect vehicle is a silver Nissan Sentra.
Detectives are currently canvassing the area to determine whether there were any additional witnesses to this incident.
