CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating after a woman was shot in west Charlotte.
Police were called to the 100 block of South Smallwood Place in west Charlotte, where they found a woman suffering from an apparent gun shot wound.
The victim was transported by medic to Carolinas Medical Center, and her injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
Reports indicate the victim and suspect were acquaintances. More information will be released as it develops.
