7-year-old A’yanna Allen Remembered During Funeral Service

SALISBURY, NC – While police search for the gunman, a community is saying goodbye to a 7-year-old girl shot and killed in Salisbury. Family members held A’yanna Allen’s funeral Sunday.

Those who knew A’yanna say her boundless energy and positive attitude were
contagious.

Family, classmates, and friends shared memories of the little girl during a service Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church.

The dance troupe she was part of performed, and her after school teachers gave her family letters written by her classmates.

Meanwhile, family and community members still want to know who’s responsible for her death.

A’yanna was killed one week ago when someone fired into the house where she was sleeping on Harrel Street.

Her grandmother was hit in the leg but is recovering.

There is now a $20,000 reward for information leading to A’yanna’s killer.
