You know the story that so many of us shared this week about the terminally ill boy who died in Santa’s arms?

The Knoxville News Sentinel said today it cannot verify the columnist’s account of a Tennessee man who plays Santa and said the five-year-old boy died in his arms in a local hospital.

The Santa actor declines to provide corroborating information like the name of the family or the name of the nurse who summoned him to the hospital.

Reporters also checked area hospitals and all have said it didn’t happen at their facilities.
