Two Charged In October Church Break-In

STATESVILLE, NC — Iredell County Sheriff’s deputies say two people have been arrested and charged for breaking into Providence Church of the Living God in October.

Officials say Jamie Lamp, 24, and Amber Houser, 27, broke into the Church on Hickory Highway sometime during the week of October 16th. According to reports, the pair stole a complete drum set along with microphone equipment.

Lamp and Houser were arrested through a joint investigation by Iredell County, Wilkes County, and Yadkin County Sheriff’s Offices into area Church break-ins. They were arrested around 8pm on December 9th. Inside their Homestead Road home, investigators found stolen music equipment and electronics, including the drum set and microphone equipment, along with marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana plants growing inside the home.

Both have been charged with B&E Place of Worship, Larceny After B&E, Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana, Manufacture Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled Substance, and Injury to Real Property.

Lamb and Houser are currently being held in Wilkes County and will be facing charges in Iredell and Yadkin Counties.
