CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four teenagers were shot, one with life threatening injuries, at a nightclub in northeast Charlotte Saturday night.
The shooting occurred at the Spice Lounge, located at 4116 N. Tryon Street, around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night. Officers say all of the victims range from 14-16 years old, and were transported to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment. One of the victims injuries is considered life threatening.
Detectives continue to search for the suspect in the shooting.
Authorities say the shooting occurred in the parking lot of the nightclub, where a party was being held.
Detectives located two firearms at the scene, and have charged 16-year-old Carnis Poindexter Jr. with Possession of a Firearm by a Minor.
A 15-year-old juvenile was also charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Minor, and Shooting in the City Limits, after admitting to firing a gun in the air after the shooting occurred.
The investigation is ongoing and more details will be released as they develop.
