CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested a 14-year-old for his involved in two robberies in Charlotte.
On Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at 11:10 a.m., Freedom Division patrol officers say they responded to the CVS Pharmacy, at 9308 Kendall Drive, in reference to a robbery from business call for service. The employee stated that the suspect entered the business and implied that he had a gun and demanded property from the victim business. Once the suspect took the property, he fled the scene, according to a news release.
On Thursday, December 15, 2016, at 2:56 p.m., police say a suspect entered the same CVS Pharmacy and walked to the back of the store. The suspect threatened the employees and demanded prescription drugs. During this robbery, one of the employees called 911 and Freedom Division officers arrived quickly on scene and located the suspect standing near the pharmacy counter and took him into custody, according to a news release.
Police say the suspect was later identified as a 14-year-old juvenile. Armed Robbery Unit detectives were notified and responded to the scene. Freedom Division officers transported the juvenile to police headquarters where he was interviewed by detectives.
Upon completion of the interview, the juvenile was charged with Armed Robbery and Common Law Robbery and transported to a juvenile detention facility.
