Former Pastor Pleads Guilty To Wire Fraud

CHARLOTTE, NC– The former pastor at Southlake Presbyterian Church inHuntersvillee will spend five years behind bars for embezzlement.

Pastor Wade Malloy pleaded guilty to a Federal wire fraud charge today.

Malloy resigned from the church in October of 2014.

Investigators found evidence that he tried to embezzle money from the church and the private school it operates.

Under the plea deal, Malloy will also have to pay a 250 thousand dollar fine.
