Ring in the New Year in Uptown

Romare Bearden Park
8pm-Midnight
This annual Charlotte tradition will include Crown Town, food vendors, food trucks, a DJ, a live band, the lighting of the Queen City crown, and a huge CLT NYE fireworks display starting at midnight.
A DJ will start the festivities at 8:00 p.m. in Romare Bearden Park, along with Crown Town – a chance for revelers of all ages to decorate a crown to wear as we prepare to ring in the new year. Food vendors and trucks will be on hand, and the Royals, a high energy party band playing Top 40 hits and classics from the 60s, 70s, 80s and more! At midnight, the crown will be lit and the fireworks will start 2017 with a blast. This is an alcohol-free event.
Public parking is available at surface lots and parking decks throughout Uptown Charlotte at market rates. Mass transit options, including the Lynx Blue Line, Lynx Gold Line streetcar and CATS buses will be available as well.
New Year’s Eve at Holiday on Ice

NASCAR HOF Plaza
Join us in ringing in the New Year with this Family Friendly Event at Holiday on Ice. Enjoy Kids Rides, Live Music, Food trucks and of course ice skating. Plus, we will have pyrotechnics at the top of every hour as we celebrate New Year’s around the world at the corner of Brevard and Martin Luther King Blvd. $10 skating $14 with skates.

Not too late to call and make a reservation at your favorite restaurant, hotel, bar or hotspot. Restaurants including Blue, 5Church, Ink & Ivy and others have multi-course meals, champagne and party favors at midnight.
Light Rail is on a Saturday schedule, with the last train departing from 7th Street Station at 1:30am. Consider a designated driver, Uber, Lyft or a taxi.
