CHARLOTTE, NC —
A 3 year old lab/pit mix, male (will be neutered), and weighs 37 lbs. He was abandoned on 11/30/16.
Donner is a sweet small sized full grown boy. He is only 37lb. great for any size home. He is excited in kennel and barks for attention. Once he is out he is calm and loves to be petted. He is good walking on leash and listens well to his handler. He loves the positive training rewards of treats and praise for accomplishing his skills. He knows verbal sit and will lure down with treat for lay down request. He will need daily walks and mental stimulation with positive only reward based training. He loves to explore the outside world with his people. He likes to go for walks and just do the dog thing….lots of sniffing…and seeing what the world is all about. He will not do well with long periods of isolation. He needs to be a part of the family and daily activities. Please come meet this fantastic boy. You won’t be disappointed.
Donner has a genetic eye condition known as entropion which is not serious. A part of the eyelid folds inward which can cause an eyelash or hair to irritate the surface of the eye. Surgery will be necessary in order to prevent eye problems in the future. Donner will wear a cone, will need eye drops for about two weeks or so, and then his eye will be good as new.
