Charlotte Teen Charged With Conspiracy to Traffic Meth, Two Others Still Wanted
LINCOLN COUNTY, NC — Deputies have arrested a Charlotte teen, and are looking for two others, accused of conspiring to traffic methamphetamine.
Deputies arrested 18-year-old Moises Hernandez, of Charlotte, Tuesday and charged him with one felony count of Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine.
According to reports, a five month long investigation showed that the three men, including Hernandez, were conspiring to transport over a half pound of meth from Charlotte, through Lincoln County, on July 31, 2016. The investigation began after a truck was stopped on HWY 27 West in Vale after nearly hitting a gas pump at a nearby convenience store. Deputies say they found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and over $7000 in cash inside the vehicle. The driver and passenger were arrested but were later released on bond, according to officials.
The other two suspects, Rodolfo Felix, 23, and Jose Reyes, 18, both of Charlotte, are also charged with one felony count of Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine. Deputies are still trying to locate these suspects.
