CHARLOTTE, NC — Airport officials at Charlotte Douglas are warning travelers to check flight statuses before heading to the airport as winter weather gets underway.
The airfield pretreatments began last night and continued into today, according to officials, but delays and cancellations are beginning to occur for flights today and tomorrow. One runway has also been closed off for deicing of aircraft.
Officials say airport roadways and overpasses have been treated, and parking areas will be monitored and treated accordingly as the storm progresses.
