Salisbury Woman Arrested For Child Pornography, Man Wanted On Related Charges
SALISBURY, N.C. — A Salisbury woman has been arrested for possessing child pornography, and detectives are searching for a Salisbury man who they believe is responsible for possessing and disseminating child pornography as well.
On Friday, January 6th, 2017, detectives with the Rowan County Sheriff’s department arrested, 36-year-old, Wendy Arlene Kasper on Friday and authorities are still attempting to locate, 33-year-old, Joshua Douglas Martorelli, who was last seen near Old Concord Road in Salisbury.
According to reports The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division and the Rowan County Department of Social Services worked together on an investigation involving the possible sexual exploitation of a child in December of 2016.
As a result of the investigation, Rowan County Sheriff’s Investigators determined that the suspects had possessed and traded pornographic images of a child.
Upon further investigation, RCSO Detectives discovered that Kasper had engaged in sexual acts with a dog on multiple occasions and had secretly video recorded a child in a bathroom for sexual purposes.
The investigation determined that Kasper was involved in disseminating child pornography with Joshua Douglas Martorelli. Martorelli is believed to be involved in a larger child pornography group that is currently under investigation.
Kasper was charged with Felony Secret Peeping with a Recording Device, Possessing Photographic Images from Secret Peeping, and 3 counts of Crimes Against Nature. Kasper was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $25,000 Secured Bond.
Arrest warrants were issued for Martorelli for the Felony Charges of Possessing Photographic Images from Secret Peeping, and 2 counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
