SALISBURY, NC — Police say they are following on leads after a woman was shot in her feet while sleeping Thursday morning.
According to reports, just before 7am Tammy Boyd was asleep in her apartment on Claymont Drive when she heard popping noises and thought someone was trying to break in through her bedroom window. She then realized that she had been shot in the feet and called for help.
Officials say Boyd was taken to Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center for treatment and is expected to be released soon.
Detectives say no arrests have been made but they are following up on leads.
