CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — A man is dead after being shot eight times outside his residence near Cheraw, S.C.
Chesterfield County Sheriffs say James Henderson, 28, was shot and killed at a trailer park on Hillian Edwards Road, just outside of Cheraw.
Witnesses said Henderson returned home after dropping a friend off stating that people were out to kill him. Reports then indicate Henderson then a series of phone calls, before receiving a call from a person asking him to step outside his home.
Witnessess saw four or five suspects confront Henderson outside of his home before hearing eight gunshots being fired.
Henderson was able to flee into a wooded area after the shooting, where he was found dead.
