Police Investigating After Two Shot In East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — Officials say two people found with gunshot wounds on Independence Boulevard Friday afternoon were actually shot several miles away.

According to reports, the shooting appears to have taken place in the parking lot of the Harris Teeter at Idlewild and Margaret Wallace Road. The two victims were found on Independence Boulevard near Independence Drive.

According to Medic, the victims were transported to Novant with non-life threatening injuries.

This investigation is ongoing.
