Feline Pet of the Week: Joy
Joy is a spayed female tabby who has been at the rescue now since Feb 2012 (5 years in 1 week). She came in with a litter of kittens.
She likes to be around people and to play for a short time. However, she does only tolerate other cats.
Canine Pet of the Week: Lady
Lady is a gorgeous lab mix who was saved from death row. HSYC took her into foster care where she gave birth to ten beautiful pups. Sadly, she lost 1 and all others are adoption pending!
Now it’s Lady’s turn! She is practically a puppy herself at just 1 year old.
She is skin and bones and is extremely frightened. To add to that she ate some foreign object this past week and had to have emergency surgery. However, she is recovering and should be back at the rescue this week.
In spite of her background, she wants to be loved. She is in search of someone willing to give her the TLC, patience, and love for her to rebuild trust in humans!!!
