UPDATE: Police have charged Alexander Miller, 21, with the murder of Stephon White, 20, last Thursday night in northeast Charlotte.
White was found in a car on Mallard Creek Road with a gunshot wound and taken to CMC where he later died. Detectives say White was originally shot on Bells Mill Drive.
Police say Miller turned himself in early Monday morning. Miller has been charged with murder.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are investigating a homicide in northeast Charlotte after a man found in a car with a gunshot wound died at the hospital.
Police say they found a male victim just after 7pm on Mallard Creek Road near W. WT Harris Boulevard. Medic took the victim to CMC with life threatening injuries, but he was later pronounced dead. Police have not yet released the victim’s name.
Investigators say a third party took the man to the location where he was found by police. Detectives are still working to determine where the shooting actually took place.
