Man Involved In Steele Creek Wreck Last Week Dies

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man involved in a single car accident last Tuesday has died as a result of his injuries.

According to CMPD, just after 10pm on January 24th Corey Flynt, 24, was speeding on Choate Circle in southwest Charlotte when he lost control of his Honda Civic and struck a tree.

Flynt was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center with life threatening injuries.  He was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries on February 2nd, according to officials.

Police say speed, alcohol, and drugs were factors in the accident.  Investigators were unable to determine if Flynt was wearing a seat belt.
