Lincolnton, N.C. — One suspect is in custody after three people were stabbed in a home on River Hill Trail, Lincolnton overnight.
Deputies were dispatched to the residence around midnight after a calling was received describing a stabbing that had occurred during a domestic dispute.
Once officers arrived on the scene, they discovered two females and a male with stab wounds. The suspect, 33-year-old Brandon Lashan Lineberger, was taken into custody without hesitation shortly after.
According to witnesses, Lineberger and victim Aimee Nicole Ford got into an argument, where Lineberger allegedly began stabbing Ms. Ford while they were inside a small laundry room.
Lineberger’s mother, Annette Lorraine Craft, tried to intervene and was cut in the hand. At that point another victim, William Dale Carte, Jr., age 57, attempted to grab the knife away from Lineberger and was stabbed multiple times as well.
Two of the victims, Craft and Carte, were transported to Caramont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia by Lincoln County EMS where they were treated and released.
Aimee Nicole Ford was airlifted to CHS-Main in Charlotte where she is listed in critical condition.
Lineberger has been charged with one felony count of Attempted First Degree Murder and two felony counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury. He is currently being held in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $600,000 secure bond.
