Two Teenagers Arrested For Drive-By Shooting In Salisbury
SALISBURY, N.C. – Two teenagers have been arrested for a drive-by shooting that left two people injured at 707 Victory Street.
Police received a call for the shooting at 12:46 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
Officials say the two victims were transported to Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. One of the victims has been released and the other victim was transferred to Presbyterian Hospital for further treatment.
According to police, the suspects fled the scene in a light blue van traveling towards Lincolnton Road.
An officer located the van at the Weant Street Apartments on 200 Grant Street and found three suspects.
Jermaine Robinson, 16, was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to inflict serious injury and one count of assault by pointing a gun. Robinson was placed under a $75,000 bond at the Rowan County Detention Center.
Elijah Leach, 17, was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to inflict serious injury. Leach was placed under a $20,000 bond at the Rowan County Detention Center.
Officials say that the third suspect was released with no charges.
Both of the teenagers will have their first court appearance on Monday.
