Police Chase Suspect Arrested For South End Homicide

UPDATE:  Police have charged the suspect who led officers on a chase through west Charlotte Wednesday afternoon with the murder of a man in South End.

Jaquan Dosdos, 23, has been charged with the murder of, 58-year-old, David Eadie.

Detectives say Dosdos led CMPD officers on a high-speed chase, which ended when Dosdos wrecked his vehicle near Freedom Drive.

Officers found a handgun in the vehicle Dosdos was driving.  Dosdos was transported to Police Headquarters and interviewed by Homicide Detectives.  Detectives determined Dosdos was responsible for the murder of Mr. Eadie based on the interview and other evidence.

Dosdos has been charged with Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, in addition to the traffic violations resulting from the pursuit.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police say they have arrested a suspect who led officers on a chase though west Charlotte before crashing Wednesday afternoon.

According to CMPD, officers tried to stop a suspect vehicle on Freedom Drive that was believed to have been involved in a recent shooting. Police say the suspect refused to stop and proceeded to lead them on a chase that ended when the suspect crashed near Wilkinson Boulevard and John Crosland Junior Way.

Officers took the suspect into custody, but have not released any further information.
