LINCOLNTON, NC — Deputies are looking for three suspects connected to a carjacking and armed robbery that took place early Sunday morning.
Officials say Colby Pridmore, 20, met Destiny Bentley, 21, of Lenoir, on Facebook and arranged to meet her around 5am near the Optimist Park on Startown Road. Bentley got into Pridmore’s car and talked for a short time before two white males knocked on the window and pulled Pridmore out, according to reports.
The two men, one carrying a knife and the other a gun, robbed Pridmore. Deputies say one suspect then drove off in Pridmore’s 2003 Mazda 6 while Bentley and the other suspect got in her car and left.
No one was injured in the incident.
Police spotted the stolen vehicle in Hudson, NC several hours later, deputies say, but were unable to stop the car.
Both men, along with Destiny Bentley, are still wanted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Bentley is charged with Robbery with a Firearm, and was last seen driving an older model blue car.
