A New Study Breaks Down The Worst U.S. Cities For Traffic In 2016

CHARLOTTE, NC — If you thought traffic was getting worse, a new study shows you may be right.

According to a new study, drivers are wasting more time than ever in traffic. The 2016 study conducted by INRIX shows a breakdown of peak hours spent in congestion, the total cost per driver, and the total cost of the city for the top 100 cities in the U.S.

Los Angeles topped the list as the most congested city in the country, while Charlotte ranked in at number 42.

In 2016, the average Charlotte commuter spent 23 peak hours in congestion at an average total cost of $878 per driver and $442 million for the city.
