KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC — Police have charged an 18-year-old son with the murder of his father.
According to police, officers found Darren Sarvis dead in his home on North Carpenter Street around 9am Wednesday. Detectives began a homicide investigation, according to reports, and determined Sarvis’s son, Kelly Sarvis, was the suspect.
Wednesday afternoon, officers charged Kelly with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Felony Larceny of a Firearm.
