Two Arrested For Catawba College Break-Ins And Robbery
SALISBURY, N.C. — Salisbury Police say two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery and two burglaries at Catawba College earlier this month.
Authorities say Justin Triag Sterling, 21, of Monroe and Elias Phillip Frances, 19, of Mint Hill turned themselves in to face charges stemming from incidents occurring on February 14th and 15th, 2017.
According to reports, Sterling and Frances entered a dorm room, in Stanback Hall, on the Catawba College campus on February 14th and stole clothing, electronics, and jewelry.
The following day, reports indicate the pair entered another dorm room in Stanback Hall where they proceeded to “ransack” the residence, before entering an adjoining room and demanding property from a victim at gun point.
Sterling and Frances have each been charged with one count of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, two counts of Felony Breaking and Entering, and one count of Felony Larceny.
