CHARLOTTE, NC — Tevin Brewer, 26, was arrested Friday for his involvement in a breaking and entering and kidnapping early Thursday morning.
According to police, Brewer broke into a home on Thera Drive around 2:35am and assaulted the male homeowner as he forced his way in. Police say Brewer took cash from the victim and then forced a woman inside to leave with him. Before Brewer and the female victim left, police say he fired several shots at the house.
Police later found the female near her home, according to reports, and say she was not harmed during the incident.
Brewer, who detectives say is believed to be known to the victims, turned himself in Friday afternoon. He is charged with First Degree Burglary, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Second Degree Kidnapping, Assault by Pointing a Gun, Possession of Firearm by Felon, Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property, Assault on a Female, and First Degree Kidnapping.
