YouTube Announces Launch Of ‘YouTube TV’

CHARLOTTE, NC –YouTube is making the live TV experience more about you.

YouTube announced Tuesday that they will be rolling out a new live TV streaming service called ‘YouTube TV.’

The popular video streaming site says subscribers will be able to stream live TV from all of the local networks like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, as well as national and regional sports and news networks, plus dozens of other popular cable networks. Users will also have access to YouTube Red Originals included in their subscription.

In total, YouTube says users will have access to more than 40 networks through their service, and will be able to watch live and recorded programming across all viewing devices.

Cloud DVR will also be included, allowing users to record as many shows as they want, simultaneously, without storage limits. YouTube says the recordings will stay stored for up to nine months.

Each membership will also include six accounts that will allow users to have their own unique recommendations and personal DVR with no storage limits. YouTube says viewers will be able to watch up to three concurrent streams at a time.

Finally, the price! YouTube says the membership will only be $35 per month and users will not be subject to any type of commitments, allowing you to cancel at anytime.

YouTube says YouTube TV will begin in the largest US markets soon, and will quickly expand to other cities across the country.
