March is national colon cancer awareness month.
CHARLOTTE, NC — March is national colon cancer awareness month. A new study was just released saying colon cancer is on the rise in millennials and middle-aged adults over the past four decades.
Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. 1 in 20 Americans will be diagnosed with colon cancer in their lifetime, and 1 in 7 of those patients will be diagnosed before the traditional screening age of 50.
