CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is dead following a single car accident on Wilkinson Boulevard early Saturday morning.
According to CMPD, at about 12:56 a.m. Saturday morning, officers responded to a reported accident involving a vehicle which ran off the road and struck a tree in the 3400 block of Wilkinson Boulevard.
Officers located a Mazda 626 with Clorie Ameia Grant, 45, Β unconscious in the driver’s seat.
Medic transported Ms. Grant to Carolinas Medical Center-Main, where she was pronounced dead at 1:35 a.m.
Neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the accident. Β Ms. Grant was not wearing a seatbelt.
