UPDATE: Police say that James Norton has been located and has been safely returned to his family.

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is asking for any information the public may have on a teen that was reported missing Tuesday.
According to police, James Norton, 18, was last seen leaving Philips Academy on Providence Road. He was on foot and wearing a red shirt, black fleece coat, dark blue sweat pants, black colored shoes, and carrying a soccer ball.
Norton is a white male, 5’9, 150 lbs, with blonde hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
