Waiting Child : Christian

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- In this week’s waiting child, we introduce you to a teen who has big dreams of becoming a counselor so he can help kids who are just like him.

Meet Christian, he’s in the 7^th grade and wants to be a counselor when he grows up, “I like helping people that’s gone through the stuff I have.”

He likes boxing and running track.  Some of his hobbies include staying fit and working out. He also enjoys, “listening to music, being outside, running or probably doing some pushup and exercise.”

Christian’s philosophy of life is this, he says, “Life is like chess not checkers.” He says, “In life, you have to think 3 moves ahead.  What I like to do to help me is, recognize what you’ve done, understand it and change it.”
