Body Found In Catawba County Identified
UPDATE: Β The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office has identified the homicide victim as 19-year-old Marco Antonio Pablo Eleocaido.
CATAWBA COUNTY, NC — The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in identifying a man who’s body was found in the woods Saturday morning.
According to reports, the man is a Hispanic male, believed to be in his teens to early 20s, 5’4″, 134lbs, black hair, and brown eyes. He also has tattoos on his left and right shoulder, and his right hand between the thumb and index finger.
Deputies say his body was found at the edge of the woods off River Road around 9:15am Saturday. Investigators believe he may have been put there late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
According to reports, he may have been working with a grounds crew due to grass clippings that were found on his pants leg and boots. Officials have not released a cause of death.
